How the Golden Ratio Face Calculator Works
The analyzer uses the same hairline boundary as the facial-thirds report and locates the cheekbone region in your photo. When the hairline is uncertain, the result is labeled as estimated. It divides hairline-to-chin height by cheekbone width, then compares that measured value with the mathematical constant φ (about 1.618).
The result is a photo-based geometry comparison. It is not a beauty score, a percentile, or a claim that every attractive face follows the same proportion.

What does the tool measure?
It estimates the vertical distance from the hairline to the chin and divides that by cheekbone-region width. The hairline uses the same observed or estimated boundary as the facial-thirds report. The ratio is scale-independent, so it uses proportions rather than centimeters.
For example, a measured ratio of 1.700 differs from φ by about 5.1%: |1.700 − 1.618| ÷ 1.618 × 100. That percentage is a distance from a reference number.
How should I read 1.618?
The golden ratio is a mathematical constant that appears in geometry. Comparing a facial measurement with it can be interesting, but a single ratio cannot define facial attractiveness or personal value.

How does this golden ratio face calculator work?
It estimates hairline-to-chin height and cheekbone-region width from one front-facing photo, divides height by width, and compares the result with 1.618.
Does being closer to 1.618 mean a more attractive face?
No. The percentage shows mathematical distance from one constant. Facial attractiveness cannot be established by this single photo ratio.
Is this the same as the facial width-to-height ratio?
No. Facial width-to-height ratio, often called fWHR, divides face width by an upper-face height. This tool divides hairline-to-chin height by cheekbone width.
What photo gives the most consistent result?
Use a level, front-facing photo in even light with both cheek boundaries and the full face outline visible. Avoid close camera perspective and exaggerated expressions.
