FAQ

How it works (10 seconds)

• Upload a front-facing photo
• AI analyzes facial structure and proportions
• Get your score, strongest feature, main weakness, and next step

Can I preview hairstyles on my own photo?

Full includes one set of four hairstyle try-ons on your photo; Advanced includes six. Options are selected using your measured facial proportions and hair preferences. Generate your set in the paid report after separate photo-processing consent. The set is included in your one-time purchase and is separate from the single AI styling preview. These are styling concepts, not a guarantee of real haircut results. Explore the sample hairstyle gallery.

What is Lookmax Analyzer?

Lookmax Analyzer is a privacy-first web app that analyzes one photo in your browser and gives practical appearance feedback.

Is the face analysis free?

Yes. You can upload a photo and get a private face score read before deciding whether you want the deeper complete report.

What do I get in the free scan?

The free scan gives your face score signal, strongest detected feature, and enough context to see whether the result is useful.

What is included in the full report?

Full includes four personalized hairstyle try-ons, your feature scores and explanations, facial proportion insights, a ranked improvement plan, a downloadable PDF, one styling preview, and five AI coach questions. Photo-based AI features are optional and require consent.

How does the analysis work?

We analyze visible facial structure, proportions, and landmark geometry, then return your score, weakest areas, and a focused improvement plan. See the methodology for the detailed scoring process.

How accurate is AI face analysis?

It can be useful for estimating visible facial balance from a clear photo, but it is not a perfect measurement. Photo quality, pose, lighting, lens distortion, and expression all affect accuracy.

Why can my score change between photos?

Your score is photo-based. A centered photo with even lighting may read differently from a close selfie, tilted head, harsh shadow, or wide-angle camera shot.

Can lighting or angle affect the result?

Yes. Lighting can change shadows around the jaw, nose, eyes, and cheekbones. Camera angle and distance can also distort proportions, symmetry, and lower-face definition.

Which photo works best?

Use a well-lit, straight-on photo with a neutral expression. Avoid filters, extreme angles, hats, sunglasses, heavy blur, or hair covering the face.

Can I use it for progress tracking?

Yes, as long as you compare similar photos. Use the same lighting, distance, angle, expression, and grooming setup so changes in the score are more meaningful.

Do you upload or store my photo?

Core face analysis runs locally in your browser. Optional AI photo reviews and styling previews send your photo to an AI service only with your consent. Processing is automated. For a review after payment, an encrypted copy is stored for up to seven days and deleted when the review finishes or checkout expires or fails. See our Privacy Policy for provider and retention details.

Do you use cookies?

We use anonymous analytics cookies via Google Analytics 4, but only with your consent. These help us improve the site and do not store your photos or personal information.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The app works on modern mobile and desktop browsers. For best accuracy, use the latest Chrome, Safari, or Edge.

Are product links affiliate links?

Some links are affiliate links. If you purchase through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Product recommendations are separate from the complete report.

Is this medical advice?

No. The app is for informational purposes only and is not medical, dermatological, dental, orthodontic, cosmetic, or mental-health advice.
