How to try a beard online
1. Add your photo
Choose one clear, front-facing portrait. Keep your lips relaxed and your jaw visible. A clean-shaven photo gives the clearest comparison.
2. Choose your style
Try six facial-hair shapes anchored to your face outline. Change color and density to explore a subtle or fuller look.
3. Compare and save
Drag to compare or switch to side by side. Download the edited preview as a grooming reference.
Beard styles you can try on your photo
Use this virtual beard simulator to compare six facial-hair shapes on the same portrait. Each style follows your visible face landmarks. Color and density change the overlay; they do not predict your natural coverage or growth.
Stubble
Short, fine strands across the cheeks, jaw, chin and upper lip. Start with a lower density to compare a light facial-hair look with your original photo.
Short beard
Fuller coverage along the cheeks and jaw, with longer strands on the chin and a moustache. Compare how the added outline changes the framing of your lower face.
Full beard
Dense coverage across the cheeks and jaw, a fuller moustache, and a longer rounded silhouette below the chin. Use density to compare a lighter or heavier finish.
Beard without moustache
A full beard along the cheeks, jaw and chin with no added hair above the upper lip. Start with a clean-shaven upper lip; the tool does not remove an existing moustache.
Goatee
A trimmed band along the bottom of the chin, a small separate soul patch below the lip, and a defined moustache. The middle of the chin and cheeks stay clear of added hair.
Moustache / mustache
Added hair above the upper lip, without a beard overlay on the cheeks or chin. Use a clean-shaven photo if you want to see a moustache on its own.

Face the camera, keep your lips relaxed, and leave your cheeks and chin unobstructed. Even lighting helps the added strands blend with the photo. A clean-shaven portrait makes differences between styles easier to see because the editor keeps your existing facial hair.
Compare the cheek coverage, chin shape and moustache separately, then save a reference for your barber. If you want to explore your facial outline too, use the face shape detector. A shape label is a starting point for styling, not a rule about which beard you should wear.
Beard try-on questions
Can I try a mustache without adding a beard?
Yes. Choose Moustache to add facial hair above your upper lip only. It adds no new hair on your cheeks or chin. Any facial hair already in your photo remains visible.
Is the beard try-on free?
Yes. All six styles, color and density controls, comparison and downloads are free. No account is required.
Does my photo get uploaded?
No. Face landmarks and the beard overlay are processed in your browser. Model files download on first use; your photo stays on your device.
Can it remove my current beard?
No. It adds facial hair over your photo. Your existing beard or moustache stays visible, so start with a clean-shaven photo to compare different shapes.
Will my beard grow like the preview?
The preview is a styling overlay, not a growth prediction. Your natural coverage, hair texture, color and grooming will affect the real result. It works best on a clear, front-facing portrait with a relaxed expression.
